A matched set of pieces for the stereo home theatre instrument

The Granada Theatre combo is a stereo (dual channel) system that combines the Accent 6 speakers with the Accent Base sub woofers and a pair of Ambience 5 speakers for discrete reverb amplification. The Accent 6 speakers provide a 6" woofer and a rectangular ribbon driver in a modest enclosure. The Accent Base 10" sub woofers provides a box tuned for rich pedal tones. The Ambience 5 speakers provide a 5" woofer and round ribbon tweeter in a compact unit.

The Accent and Ambience speakers use premium internal passive crossovers. These can be connected directly to the appropriate amplifiers. The same signal amplified for the Accent 6 speakers would be split and processed by a digital reverb unit. The effected (reverberated) signal would then be amplified separately and routed to the Ambience 5 speakers. This provides the most realistic reverberation. The Accent Base 10" sub woofer uses a precision external active crossover. The low frequency output from the crossover then feeds to a dedicated amplifier which in turn connects to the sub woofer. This arrangement maximizes the performance and control of the low frequency system.
