Harrison Recital Package System
A matched set of pieces for the stereo recital instrument
The Harrison Recital combo is a ten channel system (8 analogue outputs
and 2 digital outputs) that combines the
Accent speakers, Resonance speakers for pedals, and Ambience speakers for discrete reverb.
This arrangement is intended to complement a Hauptwerk virtual organ arrangement
with an audio output card such as the Delta 1010. A group of four Accent 10 speakers shall be placed for two
matched pairs of speakers for either chromatic or dichromatic pipe
arrangements. A pair of Accent 6 speakers shall be placed for reproducing
reed stops in either chromatic or dichromatic pipe arrangements. A pair of
Resonance speakers shall be place for reproducing the pedal ranks and extension
of the manual ranks, even down to 32' pipes.
The Accent 10 speaker provides a 10" woofer a 5" mid range cone and
a round ribbon driver in a tuned enclosure. The Accent 6 speaker
provides a 6" woofer and rectangular ribbon driver in a tuned enclosure. The
Resonance speakers provide a 15" woofer and 6" mid range cone driver in a deluxe enclosure.
The Ambience 6 speakers provide a 6" woofer and round ribbon tweeter
in a compact unit.
The Accent, and Ambience speakers use premium internal passive
crossovers. These can be connected directly to the appropriate
amplifiers. The Resonance system uses a premium internal passive
crossover for the 6" mid range driver.
A combined mix of the eight separate channels would be prepared as a
dedicated stereo signal for an artificial reverberation system. This stereo mix
would be processed with a digital reverb unit. The effected signal would then be
amplified separately and routed to the Ambience 6 speakers. This provides the
most realistic reverberation.

Willis Harrison was my organ instructor in college. He was an
incredible musician who really knew how to challenge young people. This package of speakers
is named in his honor.
